IWA baseball team loses in Metro semifinals
Published 11:28am Monday, May 14, 2012CHESAPEAKE—The Isle of Wight Academy baseball team lost 4-2 to Atlantic Shores in the semifinals of the Metro Athletic Conference tournament Friday.
IWA’s Logan Wright singled home Rainer Marfio from second base with two outs in the fourth to cut the Seahawks’ lead to 4-1.
In the fifth, Hunter Triplett hit a solo home run to cut the lead 4-2.
