SA loses in state tourney

PETERSBURG—The Southampton Academy softball team lost 11-1 to defending state champion Kenston Forest Thursday in a state semifinal game at the Petersburg Sports Complex.

The Lady Raiders beat rival Tidewater Academy 9-1 in the quarterfinals of the state tournament Wednesday.
