A son was born on Sept. 19, 2012, at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon to former Franklin resident Patricia Parker and Charles Shephard, both of Bristol.

Dylan Parker weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces and was 20 inches long.

Dylan joins a brother, Zachary, 7.

Maternal grandparents are former Franklin resident Patsie Diamond and Al Diamond of Dublin, and Raymond Parker of Sedley. Paternal grandparents are Annabelle Marks of Bristol and Charles Shephard of Richmond.
