WINDSOR—Windsor junior Justice Chapman’s 3-pointer late in the game gave the Dukes a 42-41 win over Tidewater Academy after trailing 19-4 in the first quarter on Friday.

“Windsor played flat and unmotivated in the first quarter,” said Duke Coach Brandon Bossick.

The Warriors extended their lead to 17 points early in the second quarter before the Dukes cut that lead to 10 at half time.

Windsor got its first lead halfway through the fourth quarter, but lost it due to the Warriors’ timely shooting. With 38 seconds left, Windsor sophomore Malcolm Greene had a clutch block to keep Tidewater’s lead down to 2 points.

Windsor junior Donovan Cosbert passed to senior Sharrod Patterson, who drew two defenders and then passed to freshman Tyler Fontenot, who pump faked and made the game-winning assist for Chapman’s final score.

Chapman scored 12 points and made 7 rebounds, and Cosbert and Greene both added 10 points. Greene also had 6 rebounds, while Cosbert led in assists with 4. Patterson had 2 steals.
