SUFFOLK—Carl Cofield, 69, of Suffolk, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012.livestock

Carl served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam before going on to work as a welder and a member of Local Union No. 540.

He is survived by his daughter, Debbie L. Shelton and her husband, Jamie, of Waverly, Va., and son, Tony E. Cofield and his wife, Kerry, of Bridgewater, Va.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Sunday afternoon, from 4 to 5 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.

Parr Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
