SHS girls win close one

COURTLAND—Southampton High School girls outscored Northampton 15-4 in the final quarter to beat the Yellow Jackets 37-34 on Friday.

The score was tied 18-all at the half during the non-district game. Northampton led 30-22 going into the final quarter.

Leading for the Lady Indians was Talisha Jenkins with 16 points; senior DeMone Brickhouse added 9.

Northampton committed 14 fouls to Southampton’s 11.
