FRANKLIN—Lucy Minetree Wallace has been named the managing editor of Tidewater Publications, LLC., and will have editorial responsibility for all of the media company’s operations.
Tidewater Publications publishes The Tidewater News, Western Tidewater Living and related digital products from its office on Armory Drive in Franklin.
Wallace, 56, is a graduate of both Franklin High School (’75) and Virginia Commonwealth University (’79), where she received a degree in Communications with a focus in writing and editing.

“We are fortunate to have Lucy as a member of our staff,” said Tony Clark, Associate Publisher of Tidewater Publications. “Lucy’s roots are deep in this community, and the connection she has to her home town and the professional skills she brings to the table will be tremendous assets for her as she tackles her new responsibilities. I’m excited for her, our organization and the community we serve.”
Wallace agreed saying, “I look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones. I want to be accessible to the community and hope everyone will let me know how best to meet the community’s needs.”
