Windsor High tennis improves to 3-3

WINDSOR—The Windsor High School boys’ tennis team defeated Southampton High School 7-2 on Monday.

The Dukes improve to 3-3 overall on the season .

““We had our top two players out due to illness,” said WHS Coach Matthew Randall “The Klausmeier brothers once again started us off on the right foot with solid singles and doubles victories.”

SINGLES:

• No. 1 Sam McDonald (SHS) defeated Ethan Bales (WHS) 8-4

• No. 2 Cody Reese (WHS) defeated Ellis Coefield (SHS) 8-4

• No. 3 Dan Klausmeier (WHS) defeated Evan Griggs (SHS) 8-0

• No. 4 Derek Klausmeier (WHS) defeated Cedric Ersnell (SHS) 8-1

• No. 5 Stephen Hurst (WHS) defeated Warren Hasting (SHS) 9-8 (7-2)

• No. 6 Tom Hogan (WHS) defeated Antonio Coefield (SHS) 8-0

DOUBLES:

• No. 1 Klausmeier/Klausmeier (WHS) defeated McDonald/Griggs (SHS) 8-1

• No. 2 Hurst/Tom Hogan (WHS) defeated Coefield/Hasting (SHS) 8-2

• No. 3 Southampton won by default
