Democrats in Richmond would put people first

Published 10:28am Monday, October 14, 2013

To the Editor:

Confused by attack ads on television? Not sure whom to vote for in November for governor, lt. governor and attorney general? Then consider the following. Terry McAuliffe, Ralph Northam and Mark Herring are the Democratic Party candidates for those positions, and their agenda for action when elected will put people first while their opponents will put ideology first.

These Democrats will work to help Virginians get jobs, affordable healthcare, improved roads, better schools, healthier air, cleaner water, tolerance for diversity.

The Republicans agenda is focused on restricting women’s choices, reducing funding for education, denying the need for environmental protection, limiting access to healthcare, and intolerance for those who do not agree with their social agenda.

There is really nothing confusing about this vast difference, Democrats put people first and it has been four long years since Virginia’s highest levels of government have been focused on what is best for its citizens.

They don’t put people who happen to be unborn babies first. And Terry should be called “Slick”. He is probably the bigest crook to ever run for governor of Virginia. And what is ideology? Isn’t that being principled and having morals. Oh, you are right the democrats don’t have that.

Sorry Joe…not buying and that is not because I believe in the Republican party way. I believe in the American way which starts with our Constitution and ends with each citizen making their own choice not based on party. Though in this fight I’ll go with Cuccinelli.

Yes Democrats will put people first, they have to have someone to tax. Taxing those that work to pay the bills to give to those that won’t is more obtrusive.
