Published 10:10am Tuesday, January 28, 2014

Franklin police are looking for a suspect in connection with an attempted armed robbery. At 10:28 p.m. Monday, an unknown white male driving a green Chevrolet full size, crew cab pickup truck ordered a meal at the drive thru of the Dairy Queen at 1418 Armory Drive in Franklin. The suspect pulled around to the pickup window, when the cashier opened the window she observed the subject wearing a mask and brandishing a handgun.

Before the suspect could say anything the cashier implemented threat procedures and the suspect fled. The suspect was wearing a red jacket and a blaze orange ski mask, the truck appears to have a small tool box mounted in the bed behind the cab. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Franklin Police at 757-562-8575 or Franklin Crime Solvers at 757-562-8599. Information that leads to an arrest could earn the caller a cash reward while remaining anonymous.

Maybe he was just anticipating tonight’s Blizzard…. and then the cashier mistook his wallet as a gun… and then he said the heck with it and went down the road and got a Mcflurry o_O

Not too bright, a hold up at a drive thru? Close the window and run lock the doors.

Too cold to get out and rob the place. Our criminals have now become fat and lazy too.
