Helsel named to soccer board

MURFREESBORO—Chowan University’s Director of Athletics, Dennis Helsel, has been recently appointed to the NCAA DII Men’s Soccer Committee and will begin his term September 1st. The term will continue until 2013. Helsel, along with other appointed members, will help shape the DII men’s soccer environment on both the regional and national levels.

While on the committee Helsel will help make important decisions regarding men’s soccer play at the NCAA DII level along with determining weekly regional and national rankings. Helsel will also have a presence at both the NCAA DII regional and national soccer tournament during his four-year term.
