More snow for Western Tidewater

Published Saturday, February 6, 2010

FRANKLIN—Snow is making another appearance in Western Tidewater today and tomorrow.

Steady snow or snow showers will continue through mid-afternoon on Saturday and drop anywhere from ½ an inch to 3 inches, according to weather.com.

Expect wind to accompany the snow this time, with gusts of 15 to 20 mph and temperatures near the mid 30s.

The area is under a winter weather advisory until 7 p.m. Saturday.

As a  major storm swept into Northern Virginia on Friday,  Hampton Roads saw mostly cold rain, mixed in some areas with  wet snow that didn’t collect on the ground. Today, the precipitation  will keep coming.

Hampton Roads and northeastern North Carolina are under a flood watch this morning and a coastal flood advisory through 4 a.m. Sunday.
