Former gubernatorial candidate Mcauliffe is apparently making a bid for the mill. Sounds like a big operation. We will see.

I saw the caption in the paper about the company bidding on the IP Mill. I really wish the media would address these type of issues correctly, because it sends false hope to already confused employees. The Mill will not be ready for any kind of sale for at least 2 years and possibly as much as 5 yrs. This has been conveyed to everyone from IP top officials many times. There is a date, to be announced soon, that their will be no more IP employees working at the plant. Some have not even started looking for jobs yet thinking something like this could happen, but it is not. All closed IP mills have been set up like this for sale and very few ever get sold. I have lost my job at the Mill also, but had to face the reality that there is not going to be any jobs saved there and we all need to look elswhere for employment and face the reality that life at this Mill will soon be over for us all. But I have found one good thing. There is life and opportunity outside IP and a good one at that.
