Sweetwater, now you've done it, man did your last comment cut to the quick, so much so, I am quitting this posting business. You won't have this ole bunita to kick around anymore. Off to make friends. I bid thee adieu.

David, excellent thoughts about this whole ill thought out project, but you'll get no where with this crowd, why they think if it's federal money it's free money. This ...grant... is the product of congress passing a stimulus pork package, last summer in the amount of $9 billion dollars. The express purpose was to enable the administration to pass the pork around to their congressional "friends. Federal money = free money, no problem with that concept.

It don't work that way, only the federal gov't. gets to collect the carbon tax. Which it will dearly need to pay for all this ..stimulus sucess.. that is sweeping our country. Yeah. Why are people still killing themselves, with tobacco products?

Enviornmentalists, those slimey little creatures who costs this nation, more lost jobs than all the ethics defict executives on wall street. Just wait until a company tries to locate here, those mangy little creatures will come out of no where, and demand that study after study be made of every possible aspect of that industry. By failing to endorse the power plant, the citizens of IOW, are going to pay ever increasing taxes to pay for ever increasing services. These are the same people, that have blackmailed scientists, under threat of not receiving future grants from the govt., to sign off on "global warming.

Sweetwater, why are you always pickin on me? Try as I may, I just can not seem to encourage people to question. In all my travels, here and abroad, this is one of the most head stuck in the sand areas I've ever lived. The news is filled daily with stories that in other towns, would scare the beejesus out of it's citizens, but here not a peep. I forgot, the main issue of concern is not taxes, waste, inefficency, featherbedding on the city's payroll, but of all things, the politics of their police dept. Go figure.

I just can not believe what I just read, another voice in the wilderness asking for reduced spending. Never happen. All politicans believe that if you ignore the momentary yelping, everthing will be ok come election time. Way to go snr.

How many tourists are we drawing now to all the afore mentioned "sites"? Jeff Turner can not even attract any physical help, in his river keeping endeavours. Just what physical attractions are still out there to be viewed, I would guess none. Just what are you going to see on this "tour"? How much of a monetary drain will this be in years to come, when the grant money is gone. A few cast iron markers would and should serve just as well. A total waste of money.
