International Paper announced this week that it would cease operations at its lumber mill. Wednesday was the last day that lumber was unloaded at the facility. In related news, the company said Thursday that the paper mill
would idle for two more weeks (May 25-June 7) due to lack of orders.

The Agricadabra magic show was a favorite of pre-teens and their parents attending the Isle of Wight County Fair this weekend. The 25-minute show highlighted facts about farming in Isle of Wight, while captivating the audience with humor and interactive fun. The fair benefited this year from temperate weather interrupted only by a brief rainfall on Saturday.
